Adventurous Maternity Shoot-Columbia River Gorge

Not only did Janet & Evan hire me to photograph their adventurous elopement, they wanted to do a day-before adventurous maternity session in the Columbia River Gorge. They really wanted to capture their lives and how they are in the day to day. So they threw their three pups in the truck and headed down from Seattle for a camping and adventurous weekend they will never forget.

We started out by meeting at sunrise at one of my favorite spots in the gorge for their adventurous maternity session. Janet was stunning with her low-key outfit that just really brought out her easy going personality. Cut-off shorts, an open and flowy shirt paired with her fav hiking boots was so… HER. While we didn’t get the dramatic sunrise we hoped for since it rained and there was some haze from the local wildfires; it just added to the spontaneity of Mother Nature and why we all love her so much. It’s not often that I get to photograph maternity, but I thought a multiple day adventure with these two would be a perfect end of summer blow-out.
